- Download the apk file above.
- Once you have the file, launch adb (which comes with the Android SDK).
- Start a new command shell (in Windows) or a terminal (in Mac OS X or Linux)
- At this point, if adb is not in your PATH, modify your PATH variable so that adb is in your path.
- Change directory to where the downloaded apk file resides.
- Connect your Android device to your computer with a USB cable. It is best that this be the only Android device (or running emulator) connected to your computer at this time.
- Issue the command adb -d install mpression-signed.apk to install the package.
- If it fails, then your device most likely does not allow apps from unknown sources (read non-Google Play/Amazon Appstore). In this case, go to your Android applications screen, find Settings app, click on it. You will be presented with a list of options. In the case of a 4.0/4.1 device, Click on Security and make sure the Unknown sources check box is checked. Now, the install should work. In the case of a 2.3 device, instead of Security, click on Applications to do the same.
- When done with the app testing, be sure to uninstall it and reverse the changes in step 8 (if any).
